Brad Nicpon is a distinguished partner in McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s Real Property & Planning Group, specializing in infrastructure, procurement, and public-private partnerships. With a focus on both renewable and traditional power generation, Brad brings extensive experience in construction and land development to his role.

His comprehensive background includes serving as Director of Policy to two Ontario Ministers of Infrastructure, offering strategic advice to senior government officials on crucial infrastructure projects. Brad excels in drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements for the construction, operation, maintenance, financing, buying, and selling of infrastructure assets. His portfolio encompasses a wide array of projects such as hospitals, public safety facilities, transit/transportation projects, solar and wind generation facilities, as well as mining and geothermal installations.

Brad is proficient in public procurement, including both traditional and unsolicited proposals, and plays a pivotal role in transit-oriented development projects. His expertise extends globally, having led and advised on significant infrastructure transactions across Asia, the Middle East, the UK, the US, and Europe.

As the Chair of the National Awards Committee of the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships and a board member of Skilled Trades Ontario, Brad is recognized for his leadership and contribution to the industry. He obtained his LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2007, became a Barrister and Solicitor in Ontario in 2008, and qualified as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 2016.
