Brian Gover’s diverse litigation practice is reflected in his ranking in Lexpert in areas including litigation – directors’ and officers’ liability, Indigenous law, litigation – regulatory and public law, and professional liability. With extensive experience in both federal and provincial commissions of inquiry, Brian recently appeared as counsel at the Public Order Emergency Commission. His clientele comprises individuals, corporations, regulators, and government agencies. Notably, he is frequently retained to represent judges facing disciplinary proceedings.

Since 2013, Brian has been instrumental in assisting judges with the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement, Canada’s largest and most complex class action settlement. An experienced educator, he has served as an adjunct professor at Western Law and Osgoode Hall Law School. From 2018 to 2019, he held the position of president of The Advocates’ Society and is a fellow of both the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.
