Jeff Langlois is a partner at JFK Law’s Vancouver office, representing Indigenous communities and organizations across Western and Northern Canada. In this practice, Jeff strives to support his clients in protecting their Aboriginal and Treaty rights and advocating for self-determination and enhanced governance over their lands and waters. Jeff advances his clients’ interests in a broad range of contexts, including through the courts, consultations, and negotiations with the Crown and industry. Jeff has assisted clients in advancing complex litigation asserting Aboriginal and Treaty rights. He has also been involved in regulatory hearings, land use and strategic planning and the negotiation and implementation of modern land claims and impact benefit agreements. He has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and Yukon, as well as the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Jeff also acts for non-Indigenous clients in civil litigation matters, with a focus on public, administrative, and property law matters. Jeff practises in BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Yukon, NWT and Nunavut.
