Pierre Bienvenu, AdE, brings over 35 years of distinguished legal experience to the practice of international arbitration, corporate and commercial litigation, and constitutional law. Renowned for representing clients in high-stakes matters, he has acted as counsel and arbitrator in international arbitrations covering diverse industries such as energy, transportation, telecommunications, mergers and acquisitions, construction, pharmaceuticals, international distribution and joint ventures, and foreign investment disputes.

Mr. Bienvenu has appeared before the courts of Quebec, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Supreme Court of Canada, participating in numerous challenges to the constitutional validity of both provincial and federal legislation. His Supreme Court of Canada work includes advocating for government bodies, institutions, and individuals in landmark constitutional and commercial law cases, including representation of the Attorney General of Canada in the Reference re Secession of Québec.

He has held prestigious positions within the international arbitration community, including former co-chair of the IBA Arbitration Committee (2008–2009), Vice President of the LCIA Court (2010–2015), and alternate member of the ICC Court (2015–2021). He currently serves on the SIAC Court of Arbitration. In addition, Mr. Bienvenu is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
