Shane Freitag is the national leader of the Energy – Power Group at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG). With over thirty years of experience in senior legal roles for major utilities in Ontario and Alberta, as well as extensive private practice, Shane is a highly regarded Canadian legal expert in corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters within the resource and infrastructure sector. He is particularly focused on electricity, water, and natural gas law, guiding clients through all facets of project procurement and development across Canada.

Shane is recognized for his in-depth expertise in key material agreements and regulatory approvals vital for success in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
