Steeves Bujold, AdE is a partner at the Montreal office of McCarthy Tétrault and leader of the firm’s Litigation Group for the Quebec region. He has a diversified practice in litigation and cutting-edge expertise in health law, medical and pharmaceutical liability, and professional law. He regularly appears before the courts of justice, the courts of appeal and administrative tribunals. Until recently at his firm, Mr. Bujold was a member of the Inclusion Now Council and chair of the Pride Action Group. As such, he was the first national leader of his firm diversity and inclusion initiatives for the LGBTQ2S+ community. Mr. Bujold was the 94th President of the Canadian Bar Association (2022–2023) and a member of its Board of Directors from 2019 until 2023. Mr. Bujold was a member of the Independent Advisory Board for Supreme Court of Canada Judicial Appointments and is currently a member of the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee for Quebec – West. In 2023, he was named Advocatus Emeritus (AdE) by the Barreau du Québec. He received his Bachelor of Civil Law from Université Laval in 1998. He was called to the Barreau du Québec in 1999 and admitted to the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec in 2021.
