André Dufour

André Dufour is the regional managing partner of BLG’s Montreal office and a member of the firm’s National Management Committee. With extensive experience in business law, André advises local, national, and international companies and financial institutions on strategic initiatives, commercial activities, and regulatory matters.

André has been involved in a wide range of transactions, including acquisitions, mergers, corporate reorganizations, private equity and venture capital financings, technology transfers, and joint ventures across various countries. His expertise spans multiple sectors of the economy.

As an active contributor to the legal and broader community, André is co-chair of the Corporate and M&A Committee of the International Bar Association, a member of the Canadian Bar Association, and serves on several boards of directors. These include the Foundation of the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts, Mission Inclusion (where he serves as Chair of the Board), and the Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont Foundation (as Secretary of the Board).

Recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada for his exceptional legal work, André was called to the Québec Bar in 1985.
