Aaron B. Starr is a partner at McKercher LLP’s Saskatoon office, specializing in corporate and commercial law, real estate, estate planning, and First Nations legal matters. His practice includes providing strategic business and legal advice on natural resource development, trusts, and project development on First Nations lands. Aaron advises First Nations economic development corporations and businesses on operational agreements, corporate and commercial matters, joint ventures, partnerships, and business and asset acquisitions.
With a strong focus on governance, Aaron collaborates with First Nations to draft bylaws, legislation, policies, and land management frameworks. A proud member of the Star Blanket Cree Nation, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Law in 2011. Recognized by The Best Lawyers in Canada 2024 for his work in Aboriginal Law in Saskatoon, Aaron was called to the Bar in 2012 and became a partner in 2019.
