Annik Forristal is a co-group head of McMillan LLP’s national infrastructure and construction group. Her practice is dedicated to the construction, infrastructure, and development industries. As a former practising engineer, she brings a unique perspective, advising on project delivery, contractual allocation and management of risk, land use planning, and related approvals. Ms. Forristal excels in project administration, claims management, and dispute resolution.

She is adept at negotiating, drafting, and advising on complex construction contracts and development agreements, including custom-drafted and standard form contracts such as CCDC, CCA, RAIC, OAA, and ACEC. Her extensive project portfolio includes work on condominiums, universities, hospitals, renewable and district energy installations, and entertainment and industrial facilities.

Furthermore, Annik is fully versed in the front-end approvals and permitting necessary for development and construction projects. She assists clients in obtaining official plan amendments, rezonings, site plan approvals, severances, and minor variances, as well as authorizations from heritage and conservation authorities.

With a focus on dispute avoidance, she fervently supports clients through dispute resolution processes with a results-oriented and cost-effective approach.
