Brent Kraus specializes in public and private mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions. With a rigorous focus on corporate governance and shareholder activism, Brent provides expert legal counsel to both internationally and domestically based strategic acquirors and financial investors. His extensive experience includes guiding the acquisition or disposition of Canadian businesses and assisting local management teams with the formation and capital needs of junior to mid-size entities.

Brent’s expertise also extends to advising investment dealers on public and private financings, financial advisory services, and regulatory compliance. His strategic counsel includes ongoing compliance, governance advice, and securityholder matters for both public and private entities. Additionally, Brent serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for the Rehabilitation of the Brain Injured (ARBI) and is Corporate Secretary for several private companies.

Before his successful tenure at Bennett Jones, Brent enriched his legal skills as a law clerk to Mr. Justice J.C. Major at the Supreme Court of Canada.
