Mario Paura is the head of the Toronto office’s real estate group and co-head of the national real estate group. He is an active member of the mergers and acquisitions group, co-leader of the retail group, and a member of the firm’s management committee. With over 25 years of experience, his practice primarily focuses on commercial real estate, financing, M&A, and commercial leasing.

Mario’s diverse and sophisticated real estate practice encompasses all aspects of the purchase, sale, financing, and development of various asset classes, including retail and commercial, industrial and office, multi-residential, hospitality, and entertainment properties, as well as REITs. In his banking practice, he represents both borrowers and lenders in domestic and international, secured, and unsecured financings.

Within his mergers and acquisitions practice, Mario routinely represents clients with portfolios across North America in all aspects of real estate investment. He provides strategic and practical advice on the purchase and divestiture of businesses through share and asset purchases, partnerships, and joint ventures.
