Christian P. Gauthier is a distinguished partner at Bennett Jones LLP, based in both Vancouver and Toronto. With extensive expertise, he provides strategic legal counsel on domestic and cross-border mergers & acquisitions, including management and leveraged buyouts of both private and publicly-traded companies. His legal proficiency extends to corporate finance, initial public offerings, corporate governance, as well as other critical capital markets and securities law matters.

Christian was instrumental in establishing the firm’s Vancouver office in 2014, propelling its growth to approximately 50 lawyers and earning recognition as one of British Columbia’s leading law firms by Chambers & Partners. Previously, he co-headed the Capital Markets and M&A division in the Toronto office, where he honed his practice for over 13 years.

He adeptly guides clients through diverse business growth cycles, spanning incorporation, seed financings, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, divestitures, acquisitions, financings, refinancings, restructurings, and sales processes.
