Clément Gascon, AdE joined Woods as senior counsel in the spring of 2020. With over 17 years in the Canadian judiciary, he has returned to the private legal sector, which he departed in 2002. Drawing on his extensive expertise, Clément assists parties and their counsel in resolving disputes through both national and international arbitration. He serves as a strategic advisor in insolvency, restructuring, and litigation matters for the firm. Notably, Clément served as a Supreme Court of Canada judge for five years, a Quebec Court of Appeal judge for two years, and held a close to 10-year tenure at the Quebec Superior Court. Prior to his judicial career, he practiced law with a national firm following his admission to the Quebec bar in 1982.
