David N. Kornhauser

David Kornhauser is a distinguished legal expert specializing in franchise law. With a practice dedicated to representing franchisors, franchise advisory councils, franchisee groups/associations, and individual franchisees, he addresses all aspects of franchise law. David has been an influential member of the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) for 28 years and has actively participated in the American Bar Association Forum on Franchising for over 20 years.

His leadership roles include serving as Chair (2022-23) and past Chair (2023/24) of the Executive of the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) Franchise Law Section (FLS). He has contributed extensively to the education of Ontario lawyers on franchise law, leading the Bar Education Working Group and co-chairing the Continuing Legal Education Committee. David is also the Franchise Law editor for the Toronto Law Journal and co-authored a pivotal resource, “Franchisee Associations in Canada” (Carswell, 2011).
