Domenic Crolla is a partner located in the Ottawa office of Gowling WLG. His legal practice is primarily concentrated on professional and product liability, health law, and medical liability matters. Domenic offers counsel to clients in both litigious and non-litigious situations, including offering guidance on complex governance issues. He has a particular interest in the application of advanced technologies to professional practice, especially within healthcare and law.

With an impressive track record, Domenic has represented clients at all levels of courts and administrative tribunals, both in trial and appellate capacities. As a frequent author and lecturer, he serves as the editor of the Electronic Healthcare Law Review (LexisNexis), has taught in Osgoode’s LLM in health law program, and has been the regional director of the LLM in e-business program. His leadership roles also include chairing the law and medicine committee for the IBA, being a past director of The Advocates’ Society and Bar-Ex Communications, and acting as honorary counsel to REACH, a charitable organization for people with disabilities.

Domenic Crolla is recognized by prestigious directories and associations including Chambers Canada, Benchmark Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory, and The Best Lawyers™ in Canada. His exemplary work has earned him the OBA’s Susan Hillary Davidson Award for Excellence in Health Law and the Medical Professional Liability Association’s Defender Award in 2021.
