Emil Vidrascu is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group of the Montréal office. His practice focuses mainly on commercial and construction litigation, competition law and aboriginal law. Emil represents clients before the courts and various arbitral panels. In construction law, he has represented clients in a variety of major and complex litigation claims in relation to construction projects such as the building of hospitals, factories and dams. In commercial litigation, Emil has extensive experience handling disputes involving the interpretation of commercial agreements, competition, and shareholders’ rights. Prior to rejoining Dentons (then Fraser Milner Casgrain), Emil was Partner and Co-Lead of the Commercial Litigation and Insolvability group of a well-known Québec law firm. Alongside practising law, he is a professor at the École du Barreau since 2005 and is regularly invited to give lectures on issues relating to civil, commercial, arbitration and construction law.
