Gerry is recognized as a leading litigator whose dispute resolution practice encompasses all aspects of civil, administrative, and commercial litigation. His expertise includes professional negligence, pensions, cross-border issues, franchise, banking, insurance, real estate, product liability, and employment matters. Gerry has appeared in all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Court of Canada, the Supreme Court of Canada, and before administrative boards and tribunals.

As an adjunct professor, Gerry taught Advanced Civil Procedure and Negotiation Skills at one of Canada’s leading law schools. He has a particular interest in ADR and is often retained to resolve complex, multi-party disputes. Gerry has acted as counsel in both domestic and international commercial arbitrations and mediations and has employed various ADR protocols to secure extremely favourable results.

Gerry is regularly called upon to advise two of Canada’s largest accounting firms, as well as major Canadian insurance and Fortune 500 public companies. He lectures on a wide variety of topics ranging from Commercial Litigation and ADR issues to managing exposure in regulatory investigations.
