Gord McGuire is a distinguished partner at Adair Goldblatt Bieber LLP, specializing in civil and commercial litigation with a focus on insurance coverage disputes. His expertise extends to handling complex contractual and tort disputes, employment law issues, real estate litigation, defamation cases, partnership and shareholder conflicts, and professional negligence claims. A seasoned advocate, Gord has successfully represented clients in several multi-week trials and over 50 reported decisions in Ontario’s Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and Court of Appeal.

Gord earned his law degree from Dalhousie Law School in 2009, graduating as the Gold Medalist of his class while earning numerous academic awards and distinctions. Following his articles, he was one of two Ontario lawyers awarded the prestigious Fox Scholarship, allowing him to gain valuable experience working with barristers in London, England.

Beyond his practice, Gord is dedicated to legal education and scholarship. He imparts his knowledge as an Adjunct Professor of Insurance Law at Western University and is a contributing author on insurance broker’s professional liability for Lexis Practice Advisor Canada. Recognized for his contributions and expertise, Gord was honored as a Lexpert Rising Star in 2021.
