Gord is a senior partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group, boasting over 30 years of experience in defending class action lawsuits and serious product liability claims. As a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and a certified Specialist in Civil Litigation by the Law Society of Ontario, Gord stands at the forefront of his field.

He leads the Blakes Class Actions team, a practice recognized as one of Canada’s top class actions groups by Chambers and Partners, the esteemed international legal industry rankings provider. Gordon’s current cases involve serving as lead counsel in Ontario and beyond, managing litigation on a national scale for some of the globe’s largest manufacturers of prescription and over-the-counter medicines, medical devices, consumer goods, and construction equipment.

With his extensive courtroom experience, Gord has argued cases at both trial and appellate levels in Ontario and other provinces. He has spearheaded the defence in class action common-issues trials in Ontario and possesses comprehensive expertise in cross-border and multijurisdictional issues, particularly those requiring complex scientific, medical, and technical evidence.
