Greg Azeff’s practice focuses on insolvency and restructuring law. He has worked with businesses from a wide range of industries including banking and financial services, securities, information technology, cryptocurrency, mining, shipping, automotive manufacturing, aviation, media and entertainment, commercial real estate, and construction. He has acted in some of the largest and most complex restructurings in Canada and has played a lead role in a number of international cases involving jurisdictions in the Americas, as well as Europe, Africa, and Asia. He has been a member of the Law Society of Ontario since 2002.

Greg has substantial experience representing debtors, creditors, trustees, receivers, and monitors in court-supervised insolvency proceedings, and has helped a number of distressed companies avoid court proceedings by successfully completing out-of-court restructurings. He also has significant experience acting as court-appointed representative counsel and led the teams acting for investors in the Quadriga CX cryptocurrency and Hi-Rise Capital property development proceedings. He regularly publishes academic articles and is a frequent conference speaker.

A native of Montreal, he studied management at McGill University before attending Osgoode Hall Law School.
