Hugh Meighen is a Partner in the Commercial Litigation Group and Construction Group at BLG’s Toronto office. He specializes in international disputes, including international commercial, investment, and construction arbitration, and international litigation across diverse industry sectors. With over a decade of dedicated arbitration counsel experience, Hugh has provided guidance to Canadian and international companies in disputes governed by prominent arbitration rules such as ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, ICDR, BCICAC, and DIAC.

A co-author of the Guide to the PCA Arbitration Rules (Oxford University Press, 2014), Hugh shares his expertise as an adjunct professor of international commercial arbitration at Osgoode Hall Law School. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and Who’s Who Legal has recognized him as a Global Leader and Future Leader in Arbitration, highlighting him as one of ten Most Highly Regarded Partners Under 45 in the Americas.
