Ian M. Hull

Ian Hull is the co-founding partner of Hull & Hull LLP, alongside his father Rodney Hull, KC. As a Certified Specialist in Estate and Trust Law and Civil Litigation, Ian also operates a mediation practice through Hull Estate Mediation Inc. Admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1990, Ian has authored several seminal texts including the 4th to 6th editions of Probate Practice, and books such as Power of Attorney Litigation and Challenging the Validity of Wills.

His works also extend to Advising Families on Succession Planning: The High Price of Not Talking, and he serves as the co-editor of the 4th edition of Feeney’s Canadian Law of Wills. Ian’s affiliations are extensive, boasting membership in the Canadian Bar Association, The Advocates’ Society, and he is a former executive member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Ontario Bar Association.

Additionally, Ian plays an active role in several esteemed organizations like the Toronto Lawyers Association, Halton County Law Association, and the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners (STEP). His recognition as a Fellow spans across the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), the American College of Trial Lawyers, and the International Academy of Estate and Trust Law.
