His broad transactional practice emphasizes commercial real estate, P3 and infrastructure transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, project financing, leasing, merger & acquisition transactions, and securities offerings. He has significant experience in the large-scale development, retail, hospitality, multi-residential, industrial and REIT sectors.

James also regularly advises on all sides of the construction pyramid in the negotiation and review of construction contracts, procurement documentation, CCDC contracts and operation and maintenance agreements. His expertise covers areas such as renewable and non-renewable power generation, infrastructure projects, health facilities, and commercial development.

James was called to the Ontario Bar in 2004, marking the beginning of his impactful legal career.
