Specializing exclusively in bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring matters, Jamey D. Gage possesses extensive experience in advising debtors, creditors, and court officers in work-out, restructuring, receivership, and bankruptcy proceedings both in Canada and internationally. His recent achievements include acting as lead bankruptcy counsel to Rothmans, Benson & Hedges Inc. during its restructuring proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. Additionally, he has represented a syndicate of senior secured lenders in the cross-border restructuring of a natural gas and electricity retailer, and CannTrust Holdings Inc. in its restructuring efforts under the same Act.

Jamey also served as Canadian restructuring counsel to a car rental company navigating global restructuring through Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code, and to US Steel Canada Inc. in proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and Chapter 15 of the US Bankruptcy Code. His deep understanding of both Canadian and international insolvency laws makes him a valuable asset to his clients.
