Joel Camley is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office and leader of the Canadian real estate industry sector group. His practice is focused on real estate, banking, and commercial law with extensive experience in structuring real estate acquisitions and dispositions, commercial leasing (office, retail, and industrial), and real estate financings and leading multi-unit mixed-use, office tower, hotel, airport, and First Nation land developments. He has organized and led multi-office teams in complex commercial real estate transactions, advising throughout their life cycle. He works closely with the Gowling WLG Canada, UK, European, and Dubai real estate sector members to bring forward Gowling WLG’s domestic and international real estate services. He has been recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory, The Best Lawyers™ in Canada, and the Legal 500 Canada. He is a founding member and director of Honour House Society, which provides temporary accommodation to members of the Canadian Armed Forces and first responders and their families.
