Josh is a distinguished member of the firm’s Tax Group, specializing in litigation and dispute resolution with the Canada Revenue Agency and Department of Justice. His practice also encompasses tax planning for private companies and individuals. With extensive experience in the Tax Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Josh provides exceptional representation to his clients.

Josh is called to the Bar of Ontario and holds a Chartered Professional Accountant designation, having completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Course. This unique blend of skills enables him to identify risk, uncertainty, and settlement opportunities in intricate tax disputes. His career path includes practicing at a boutique tax firm, working in the tax group of an international law firm, and clerking at the Tax Court of Canada. He has also served as Crown Counsel for the Department of Justice (Tax Law Services) in Ottawa, where he represented the CRA in numerous tax disputes.

Josh is an active member of the Canadian Tax Foundation’s Steering Committee and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and CPA Ontario. His excellence is recognized by Best Lawyers and the Law Society of Ontario.
