Keegan Boyd is a partner in BLG’s Toronto office, specializing in defending hospitals, healthcare organizations, and professionals against allegations of professional misconduct and negligence in both civil and regulatory contexts. He offers legal expertise in a wide array of commercial disputes, including contract disputes, product liability claims, mass torts, and class actions.

With a profound knowledge of medical devices and technology, Keegan regularly advises clients on matters related to regulatory compliance, incident reporting, adverse events, physician credentialing, privacy, disclosure, and risk management. His experience spans all levels of court in Ontario, and he has represented clients before various other courts, administrative bodies, and tribunals, such as: the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Licence Appeal Tribunal, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Keegan has a distinguished background in education, having served as an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University, where he taught Trial Advocacy.
