Kosta is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s Litigation Group in Toronto. He has significant experience working with companies (both public and private) in complex contractual, shareholder, and partnership disputes. In addition to working on complex corporate commercial matters, Kosta is a leader in the firm’s Automotive Industry Group. He advises and represents domestic and foreign automotive industry participants on various matters, including, among other things, deploying new technologies in Canada, navigating motor vehicle safety compliance, and motor vehicle dealer regulation.

Kosta otherwise maintains a broad practice focusing on corporate/commercial litigation, real property development disputes, professional liability, transportation and logistics, and estates matters (including corporate succession disputes). While resolution-oriented, Kosta is always prepared to advocate for his clients in contested hearings before all levels of court and any administrative tribunal. Some of his more notable engagements include representing Cineworld in significant M&A litigation concerning the termination of a $2.8B+ transaction and representing Tesla in its successful appeal of enforcement measures taken by OMVIC in respect of Tesla’s advertising of fuel savings.
