Larry Ellis leads the restructuring and insolvency group at Miller Thomson. He possesses extensive experience, advising clients on restructurings under the Companies Creditor’s Arrangements Act as well as restructurings and liquidations under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. Renowned for his expertise, Larry advises a wide range of stakeholders, including purchasers, secured and unsecured creditors, receivers, debtors, monitors, trustees, and lending syndicates.

With considerable experience in both litigation and commercial aspects of corporate restructurings, bankruptcies, receiverships, work-outs, and enforcement of creditors’ rights and remedies, Larry is a valuable asset. He belongs to numerous professional organizations such as the American Bankruptcy Institute, INSOL International, the Turnaround Management Association, the Insolvency Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, the Canadian Insolvency Foundation, and the Canadian Bar Association.

Larry is the former program chairman for the III NextGen Leadership Program Class I, a program enhancing the knowledge of leading insolvency professionals dealing with international insolvencies and restructurings, linked with the 12th Annual Insolvency Conference in Paris, France.
