Larry Weinberg is a distinguished partner with extensive expertise in franchising, licensing, and distribution matters. Serving as a General Counsel and board member of the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA), Larry has held multiple prominent positions, such as the past Chair of the International Bar Association Committee on International Franchising and the Ontario Bar Association Franchise Law Section.

His commitment to the field is evident as he was the first Canadian lawyer to assume the role of director for the ABA Forum’s International Division, contributing leadership to the Governing Committee. As a co-editor of the ABA Forum’s “Fundamentals of Franchising – Canada (2nd ed.)” and an editor and co-author of the “Canada” chapter in ABA’s “International Franchise Sales Laws” text, Larry’s thought leadership is well established.

A regular speaker at key conferences across Canada, the US, and internationally, Larry’s reputation is recognized in Chambers Global, The Best Lawyers in Canada, and Franchise Times. His accolades include the 2014 Lexpert Zenith Award and multiple recognitions as the worldwide Franchise Lawyer of the Year by Who’s Who Legal from 2014-2018 and 2021-2022.
