Lori Duffy is senior counsel in the National Tax Group, where she specializes in assisting clients with asset management and transfer through business succession plans, trusts, and wills. Her comprehensive practice covers all areas of trusts, wills, and estate administration, including work under the Substitute Decisions Act. As the Ontario editor of the Estate & Trust Reports (Carswell), Lori brings a wealth of expertise and insights to her role. She is a valued member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and an active director of the Martin Family Initiative. Lori also contributes her expertise as a member of the Advisory Task Force on Planned Giving for St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation.

A trailblazer in her field, she is a past president of the Canadian Association of Women Executives and Entrepreneurs. Further enriching her professional journey, Lori served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto Law School, where she imparted knowledge on Wills and Estates law. She has also been a seminar instructor at the Bar Admission course and a sought-after speaker at numerous seminars for prestigious organizations such as the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, the Law Society of Ontario, The Canadian Institute, and the International Bar Association.
