A partner in BLG’s Corporate Commercial Group, Mark is engaged in a comprehensive technology law practice encompassing the breadth of corporate commercial matters. He has expertise in the preparation and negotiation of licensing, distribution, joint venture, business process, and IT outsourcing and technology development agreements. He has substantial experience in the governmental, hospital/health care, and biotechnology sectors, including the use of private-public joint ventures for the conduct of technology and outsourcing ventures.
Mark has co-authored two editions of Kyer and Fecenko on Computer-Related Agreements: A Practical Guide, co-authored E-Commerce: Corporate-Commercial Aspects, and Broader Public Sector Procurement: A Procurement Professional’s Guide, and authored Canada’s first biotechnology law text, Biotechnology Law: Corporate-Commercial Practice.
Member of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA) and Digital Health Canada. He holds an LLM in Intellectual Property from Osgoode Hall and an LLB/MBA from the same institution. Recognized as a leading individual by The Legal 500 Canada, Mark is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and is acknowledged in The Best Lawyers in Canada and several other industry rankings.
