Mike Theroux is the co-head of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group, specializing in complex commercial disputes with a focus on the energy industry. With extensive experience in the energy sector, Mike handles disputes related to projects in Western Canada, major offshore oil and gas initiatives, as well as renewable energy projects.

His expertise extends to securities litigation, involving shareholder disputes, contested Plans of Arrangement, oppression remedies, and other intricate securities matters. Additionally, he manages claims involving real estate, environmental issues, and intellectual property disputes in the energy industry.

Recognized for his proficiency in commercial and energy dispute resolution by Chambers & Partners, Benchmark Litigation, and Lexpert, Mike has successfully argued cases in the courts of Alberta, British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Federal Court of Canada.

Beyond his legal practice, Mike serves on the board of directors for the Calgary Homeless Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to ending homelessness in Calgary.
