Miguel Bourbonnais’ practice focuses on commercial litigation, with an emphasis on corporate litigation, shareholder disputes, securities and financial fraud, construction litigation, banking, bankruptcy, and insolvency. He regularly pleads before the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal in connection with a wide range of insolvency-related issues. Miguel successfully acted for a trustee in bankruptcy before the Supreme Court of Canada in a pivotal case that raised complex legal questions on the rights of the Crown in a context of insolvency. He served as President of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Section of the Canadian Bar Association from 2010 to 2011. Admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2003.
