Nikki Charlton is a highly accomplished family law partner at FARRIS with an esteemed reputation in British Columbia’s legal community. Practising exclusively in family law, Nikki offers a comprehensive range of dispute resolution services, including mediation, collaborative law, arbitration, and litigation, ensuring clients receive the most effective representation tailored to their needs. As an accredited Parenting Coordinator, Family Law Mediator, and Child Interviewer, Nikki brings unique qualifications and compassionate neutrality to resolving family law disputes.

With extensive experience, Nikki serves both as an advocate and as a neutral in family law matters. She was first elected a Bencher for 2024 and currently serves on the Credentials Committee. Nikki obtained her BA with distinction from the University of Victoria and earned her law degree from UBC. She has demonstrated her commitment to continuing legal education by co-chairing the CLEBC Biennial Family Law Conferences in 2017, 2019, and 2021, and by presenting at various leading conferences and authoring numerous papers.

Nikki also has a strong background in community involvement and access to justice. She served for six years on the board of the British Columbia Collaborative Practice Roster Society, supporting initiatives like the Pro Bono Collaborative Family Law Project, which offers vital resources for unrepresented parties experiencing separation. Prior to her legal career, Nikki worked as a respite and support worker with youth at risk and children with disabilities, and she has served on the board of the North Shore Disability Resource Association, demonstrating her ongoing dedication to service and advocacy for vulnerable individuals.
