Reena Goyal is recognized for her deep expertise in energy law, providing trusted advisory and advocacy services to both private and public sector clients. Specializing in electricity markets, regulation, and compliance, Reena frequently represents clients before the Ontario Energy Board and the Alberta Utilities Commission.

Reena’s extensive experience spans support for a diverse range of domestic and cross-border energy industry stakeholders, including commercial and industrial loads, generators, transmitters, distributors, demand response aggregators, retailers, and gas marketers. She delivers strategic regulatory guidance to shareholders, acquirers, investors, and developers of varied power assets such as energy storage, gas, hydrogen, wind, solar, biomass, and nuclear projects.

With a Master of Laws in Energy and Infrastructure Law from Osgoode Hall Law School—where she also co-teaches The Law and Economics of Electricity Markets—and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto Law School, Reena brings a strong academic and professional foundation to every client engagement.
