Sean R. Campbell is a founding partner of Tyr LLP and a renowned Canadian litigator with decades of experience representing clients in high-stakes commercial, securities, and class action cases. Having been called to the Ontario Bar in 2004, Sean brings extensive expertise in litigation, financial restructuring, insolvency, and competition matters across diverse sectors.

Before co-founding Tyr LLP in June 2019, Sean was a senior partner at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP, focusing on Litigation and Financial Restructuring & Insolvency practices. Clients turn to Sean for his pragmatic and creative approach when facing multifaceted, multi-jurisdictional disputes, including shareholder controversies and competition tribunal proceedings.

Sean has substantial experience representing organizations of all sizes before the Capital Markets Tribunal, the Competition Tribunal, and at every level of court in Canada. He has acted for some of Canada’s largest telecommunications, mining, and energy companies in court and arbitration proceedings, including both domestic and international arbitral regimes.

Most recently, Sean served as co-lead counsel in a significant mining dispute, successfully representing one of the country’s largest mining companies before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
