Simon A. Clements is an experienced Canadian lawyer, highly regarded for his focused practice in professional liability and health law. He is dedicated to representing hospitals, nurses, and health professionals in medical malpractice actions throughout Ontario. His expertise also extends to privacy matters, physician privileges, life insurance disputes, professional negligence claims involving insurance brokers, and defamation cases.

With a distinguished trial record, Simon has successfully conducted both jury and non-jury trials, appearing before all levels of Ontario courts, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He is a sought-after counsel at Coroner’s Inquests and has represented clients before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, and Consent and Capacity Board of Ontario.

Simon is a longstanding member of the Canadian Bar Association, The Advocates’ Society, and the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto. He formerly taught the Trial Advocacy course at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law for two decades and currently serves as Chair of The University of Toronto Tribunal.
