Steeves Bujold, AdE, is a distinguished partner at the Montreal office of McCarthy Tétrault LLP and serves as leader of the firm’s Litigation Group for Quebec. With a renowned and diversified litigation practice, Mr. Bujold offers advanced expertise in health law, medical and pharmaceutical liability, and professional law. He is recognized for representing clients before all levels of courts, including courts of justice, courts of appeal, and administrative tribunals throughout Quebec.

Steeves Bujold has been a trailblazer in diversity and inclusion, notably as chair of the Pride Action Group and the first national leader of firmwide LGBTQ2S+ initiatives. He also served as the 94th President of the Canadian Bar Association (2022–2023) and was a member of the Board of Directors from 2019 to 2023. Mr. Bujold’s dedication to legal excellence is further highlighted by his service on the Independent Advisory Board for Supreme Court of Canada Judicial Appointments and his current role with the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee for Quebec – West.

Recognized as Advocatus Emeritus (AdE) by the Barreau du Québec in 2023, Mr. Bujold brings a strong academic foundation with a Bachelor of Civil Law from Université Laval (1998). He was called to the Barreau du Québec in 1999 and joined the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec in 2021.
