About Tyson Lamarsh

Tyson Lamarsh is a principal and the co-lead of the Indigenous Law Group, bringing extensive experience in advising Indigenous Nations on a range of legal matters. His expertise covers governance, project participation, community engagement, rights and title strategies, and the implementation of shared decision-making frameworks. Tyson is dedicated to supporting Indigenous Nations throughout all phases of resource and infrastructure projects, negotiating with industry and government to achieve fair and lasting partnerships.

Deeply committed to advancing the interests and objectives of Indigenous communities, Tyson spends significant time working directly with community members, developing governance structures that are culturally unique, and supporting leadership in implementing effective community engagement strategies. His client-focused approach is built on respect, collaboration, and a thorough understanding of each Nation’s traditions.

A key part of Tyson’s practice also includes serving as fractional General Counsel to one of British Columbia’s most progressive Indigenous governments, enabling him to provide strategic legal guidance and innovative solutions for governance and negotiation challenges.
