William (“Will”) Abbott is the Managing Partner at MacDonald & Partners LLP, where he has played a pivotal role since 2002 and has served as a partner since 2003. With a solid foundation in law, Will obtained his undergraduate degree from Bishop’s University in 1988 and earned his law degree from the University of Windsor Law School in 1993. Called to the Bar in 1995, Will is a distinguished Member of the Law Society of Ontario.

Throughout his accomplished legal career, Will Abbott has represented clients before all levels of court across Ontario and conducted numerous trials throughout the province. He is highly regarded for his expertise and dedication to legal education, having lectured and chaired continuing legal education programs with eminent bodies such as the Law Society, Osgoode Professional Development, and various private organizations. Will also shares his knowledge as a contributing author for publications produced by MacDonald & Partners LLP and distributed by Carswell.

Will’s commitment to excellence extends beyond the courtroom, as he continually supports the legal community through education and authorship. Outside of work, Will enjoys skiing, travelling, and spending quality time at the cottage with his wife and children.
